After seeing the success with the Bible Building, Sierra Beaton and I were offered a contract job by the School of Information Technology and Computing department to 3D model ACU's Business Building.
Currently hundreds of hours have been poured into this project to recreate an accurate and to scale model of the building to be used by the department for marketing and recruiting purposes. After getting the blueprints for the building, I was quickly able to create the walls of the building. |
Photo references were often used to make the building recreation look as close as possible.
Hundreds of different signs, doors, chairs, tables, and other items in the building were created.
I spent a great deal of time on this project, mainly because I loved the beauty of the Chapel on the Hill, so a majority of the time went into the complex texturing and rendering of the stained glass. But, as the stained glass is the most beautiful, it makes the rest of the building look just as great.
Lastly, I accurately recreated the brick, granite, and other textures in order for the building to look as realistic as possible.

I was able to completely recreate a cardboard toy to scale. I had to take apart the toy, measure all the pieces, and take pictures of them to accurately texture them.
Reunion Tower and Hyatt Regency Hotel

This was extremely fun to 3D model, primarily because of the memories I have at this hotel at Leadership Training for Christ, a competition of sorts for puppets, drama, choir, and bible reading. This model is the first in a series of Dallas buildings that I want to create to 3D print.
